Cool Summer Morning
Hi Everyone! Hey, I took a flier here and had an idea to do a cool painting-with all cool colors. I’ve been working on trees lately (a real favorite of mine-I LOVE trees) so decided to do a graphic summer tree line.

Here’s the third in this little mini-series of Views of the Lake. This could be any good-sized lake but here it shows a distant view of Lake Champlain in New York. Of course, the higher you go, the earlier the leaves begin to turn in the fall. Fall sailing can be a beautiful thing!

View from Poke-O-Moonshine
The second view of the lake is from Poke-O-Moonshine Mountain hiking trail in upstate New York. The mountain is just off of Route 9, south of Keeseville. The trail is a little steep but the round trip hike is only 3.6 miles. From the top there are 360 degree views of the High Peaks and Green Mountains in Vermont, and Lake Champlain.

Good Morning

Set the Path
Here’s the final scene of the sky, mountains and path. I’ve combined the yellow sky but used a pink land area with a slight reflection of the yellow sky. These were so much fun. Yellow Sky
Well, here’s the fourth of this series. As you can tell from the title, I really like to do yellow skies. I hoped this piece really captured the loose, imaginative sense of a place we could think of that held special memories.

Path to the Mountains
The next version of this scene shows a subtle path leading toward the mountain. Higher mountains can be seen in the background. Seems like an inviting trail.

Plain’s Edge
Here’s the next in the series of my simple scene painted a little differently each time. I wanted to do a yellow sky, again reflected on the warm red land shape.

Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest
Hey, just had so say, Happy National Hot Dog Day everyone! Here’s a painting I did showing Joey Chestnut (maybe?), world champion competitive eater, at the Coney Island Nathan’s Hot Dog eating contest. Hope you enjoy the day.
Early Rise
I got the idea to paint a simple scene in several color ways and with slight changes. This is the first one I did. I especially like the beginnings of a sunrise with the pink sky reflected on the foreground.
